Cheltenham School District has tapped Ms. Ashley Pullum and Ms. Diane Rodriguez as the new supervisors of special education. Pullum will serve as supervisor for grades 5-8 and Rodriguez will fill the position of K-4 supervisor.
Myers Elementary is proud to be a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) school, and now a district trailblazer in earning official Tier II PBIS state recognition. This year also marks the fourth consecutive year Myers has earned Tier 1 status.
Myers third graders gathered with family and friends in the gym and cafeteria for the “State Fair.” The event began with a rendition of “This Land is Your Land,” “Fifty Nifty United States,” and the Myers school song. Students and attendees then enjoyed a presentation of photos from the last year before transitioning into the cafeteria for the state fair.
Students at Myers Elementary got the chance to step into the shoes of someone with autism during the school’s inaugural school-wide Autism Day. The event was organized by special education staff to teach general education students about the different ways students with autism approach challenges with communication and sensory regulation.
